Representing Business to Government
They’re at it again. We vote. The politicians ignore us. Just months ago, voters overwhelmingly passed Prop 22 to stop State theft of our local government funds. Did they listen? NO.
Any day, Sacramento politicians could vote to raid local city redevelopment funds to cover the State’s budget red ink… robbing billions out of our local communities and killing thousands of jobs. Enough is enough. It’s time the politicians listened to us. Sign the petition today.
Tell the State politicians: MY VOTE COUNTS.
The Irwindale Chamber Legislative Business Affairs Committee utilizes the Irwindale Chamber’s Legislative platform to determine which legislative, regulatory and governmental issues the Chamber should support or oppose. They inform legislators of the Chamber's positions. This committee also works to keep the members of the Chamber informed and educated on issues facing the business community by having forums for our businesses to meet and hear from our legislators. We act on behalf of our members by keeping them informed of legislation that could impact their success. To view the Irwindale Chamber Legislative Priorities click here. As an association of diverse businesses, the Irwindale Chamber Board of Directors recognizes that there is strength in numbers. The Irwindale Chamber has been instrumental in the formation and development of the San Gabriel Valley Legislative Association of Chambers. Fifteen chambers Board of Directors approved a Regional Legislative Platform. This allows the Coalition to send letters to our legislators on behalf of the Chambers and our respective members.
The San Gabriel Valley Legislative Coalition of Chambers consists of twelve Chambers of Commerce: Arcadia, Azusa, Duarte, El Monte/South El Monte, Irwindale, LaCanada Flintridge, La Verne, Regional Chamber of SGV, Rosemead, San Dimas, Sierra Madre, and Temple City.
